Mount Monadnock Hike with ODO

Monadnock is a mountain in the towns of Jaffrey and Dublin, New Hampshire. At 3,145 feet it is almost 1,000 feet higher than any mountain peak within 30 miles. Mount Monadnock’s isolated and rocky summit provides expansive views and has been cited as one of the most frequently climbed mountains in the world.

Open Doors Outdoors serves Veterans, their families and young people by taking them into the outdoors for reconnection, healthy activity and healing. Through organized activities, participants gain physiological and psychological benefits. Research shows that time spent outdoors can improve mental health such as: stress, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. ODO strives to provide all individuals access to the outdoors, providing an equitable healing experience. One adventure at a time, ODO’s holistic approach heals and restores lives on many levels.

The hike will be on Saturday, May 18th starting at 8 am with a rain date of May 19th. This hike is not for children; experienced adult hikers are welcome. Tickets are limited for this event and Home Base will likely run a lottery. Register by Monday, May 6 at 9am for a chance to attend!
